October 2025 Astrology & Energy Forecast: Transformation, Trines & Turning Points

October is a month of transformation and redirection. This month, we’re moving from Libra’s focus on balance and harmony into Scorpio’s depths of truth and rebirth. Along the way, Pluto stations direct in Aquarius, Neptune returns to Pisces, and multiple Grand Trines bring much-needed harmony and flow into our lives.

So what the heck does all of that even mean?

October is a month of endings, fresh starts, and smoother daily flow. We move from Libra’s scales of balance into Scorpio’s depth, which means surface-level ANYTHING won’t cut it anymore.

We’re being asked to face what’s authentic and real and transform because of it. Pluto moving direct pushes us to act on the inner growth we’ve been working on since Spring, while Neptune’s return to Pisces reopens unfinished chapters from the last 13 years so we can finally close them.

Thankfully, the Grand Trines (when three or more planets are all within 120 degrees of each other), this month bring harmony and ease, love, money, and long-term plans to help you move forward more smoothly.

This is a month of both courage and surrender. It's a month of balancing light with dark, clear understanding mixed with some mystery. Let’s walk through the big cosmic events first, then dive into guidance for every zodiac sign.

October 6 – Mercury enters Scorpio + Full Moon in Aries
This is a day that cuts through the fluff. Conversations might get deeper than usual, and you may find yourself asking questions you’ve been avoiding. The Full Moon in Aries puts the spotlight on your independence are you honoring your needs, or are you losing yourself in keeping the peace? Expect clarity (and maybe some blunt truths).

October 13 – Venus enters Libra + Pluto goes direct in Aquarius
Big day. Venus moves into Libra, reminding us of the joy of connection, beauty, and harmony. Relationships get sweeter, but they also need honesty so no glossing over what’s not working. Meanwhile, Pluto shifts direct after months of retrograde (moving backwards). Think of it like this: all the shadow work you’ve been doing since May? Now you’re being asked to live it out loud. This is why journaling and tracking really matters. It let's you look back on where you were and what was going on Astrologically with you at any given time. Changes in power dynamics, career direction, or personal empowerment become more obvious.

October 21 – New Moon in Libra
Fresh start energy. Woo hoo!! This is your chance to set intentions around relationships, parterships and collaborations, and how you balance “me vs. we.” It may not be totally smooth as old wounds or trust issues could pop up but this New Moon wants you to do relationships differently this time and from a healthier place.

October 22 – Neptune returns to Pisces + Sun enters Scorpio
MARK YOUR CALENDAR! This is the turning point of the month. Neptune slides back into Pisces, revisiting themes you’ve been cycling through since 2012 spirituality, creativity, illusions, and compassion. If there’s old unfinished business, it may resurface now so you can finally close the loop. And with the Sun entering Scorpio the same day, things get real real real. Scorpio season doesn’t let you hide. It’s about honesty, endings, transformation, and reclaiming your power.

October 29 – Mercury enters Sagittarius (opposite Uranus in Gemini)
The month ends on a hot diggity spark. Mercury in Sagittarius broadens your mind and makes you hungry for big ideas, mindful expansion and exploration of beliefs you may not have ever considered. Conversations turn bold, travel or learning opportunities may pop up, and with Uranus in the mix, surprises are likely. Stay flexible becasue the best ideas or opportunities may come out of the blue.

It’s not just the intensity of Libra–Scorpio season shifts. We’ve also got multiple Grand Trines which are like smooth highways in the middle of the rocky universe. The Grand Trine in Air supports love, money, and creative breakthroughs, while the Grand Trine in Water helps with healing, emotional growth, and long-term plans. Yes, October asks us to face some hard realities, but the Universe is also giving us supportive energy to make things easier when we lean into the flow.

On 8/8/25 we step into a very unique alignment: the Lion’s Gate Portal 8/8/25) coinciding with the Full Moon in Aquarius (8/9/25). The Lion's Gate Portal is an annual astronomical alignment where the Sun in Leo lines up with the star Sirius, Orion’s Belt, and Earth.

August 2025 Astrology Forecast: Realigning with What Matters Most!

HEY YOU! YOU'RE INVITED!!!!

To what you ask? Well...you're invited to come back to yourself after several weeks of what may have felt shaky, chaotic or super tough. Listen, we love Mercury ok. It's the planet of communication. But the past several weeks, Mercury has been zooming backwards and in August we are going to get a break.

We’re moving from the bold, expressive energy of Leo season into the clear, devotional energy of Virgo. I am a Virgo and let me tell you, the energy of Virgo is loving, authentic, direct, but at the same time is extremely giving. And in between these transitions, we cross through one of the most powerful energetic portals of the year: the 8/8 Lion’s Gate. Ahhhh!

July was about emotional truths, experiences levels of patience and coming into a centered self through experience contrast. August will be about setting intentions and experiencing some huge energetic upgrades. You’re being asked to check back in with your core values and begin the turning of the gears for your next step that will allow you to be sustainable.

Mars shifts into Libra, softening how we take action and how we assert our needs. This is a time to practice collaborative conflict (agreeing to disagree with no hard feelings or working together collaboratively with one common goal) and healthy compromise. If you’ve been leaning too far into people-pleasing (<-- stop that) or too far into solo energy, August helps you find the middle ground.

What Is the Lion’s Gate Portal?

The Lion’s Gate Portal is an annual energetic alignment that occurs when the Sun is in Leo and the star Fixed Star Sirius rises on the horizon, aligning with Orion’s Belt and Earth.

What makes this portal extra special is the number “8”. This number in a spiritual and astrological sense represents abundance, success, and when turned on it’s side it becomes the infinity symbol. The infinity symbol connects us with the cycle of death and rebirth in our life and on a soul-level.

Spiritually, this portal has long been recognized by ancient cultures (especially in Egypt) as a time of higher consciousness, cosmic downloads, and heart awakening. Egyptians studied the vast extensions of the cosmos but marking and paying attention to when specific planets were visible in the sky. The Sun in Leo acts as a magnifier of this energy, empowering our authentic expression, personal power, and soul purpose.

There is a belief that when the star Fixed Star Sirius and the Sun come close together, humanity experiences this jolt and wave of higher consciousness.

What Makes 2025's Lion’s Gate Unique?

This year’s Lion’s Gate is especially rich for integration, manifestation and activation because of what surrounds it astrologically:

Full Moon in Aquarius (August 9)

This happens immediately after the 8/8 Portal, meaning this year's Lion's Gate activates a release-and-realign theme around:

The Lion’s Gate aligns with the tail-end of Mercury retrograde in Leo. But do note that there is a shadow period for Mercury retrograde energy that will dwindle down totally by the 25th. This direct station will offer deep insight and integration on the way forward. I know the past few weeks may have been chaotic. Get ready to breathe some fresh energetic air. It’s the perfect time to:

Reclaim your voice. Open up your throat chakra and let your voice be heard. Remember all words you speak should come from a place of love over fear.
Speak your truth from the heart. Open up the heart space and place yourself in the other person's shoes. Remain steadfast in boundaries but create space for others who provide you a safe place to land.
Re-align with your soul mission or message. Focus on practices surrounding opening up your third eye and crown chakras. Doing this practice will help you connect with your higher self and become more in tune with the world around you.

July 2025 Astrology Forecast

Lots of Rapid Change, friends....

July 2025 is a month of deep energetic contrast. When I refer to energetic contrast this means light and dark, difficult and ease, fast and slow. We can't have one component without the other. That's contrast. Yin and Yan, Happy and Sad and so forth.

This energy is two-fold. We are going to be slowing down, reflecting, and resolving any lingering emotional patterns that we still carry with us. However, simultaneously we are also being pulled toward becoming innovative, expressive and bold, and may have very quick and impactful changes in how we think, communicate, and create. We are one week into the month and I've already experienced all of this! OMG! It's difficult, beautiful, challenging, necessary and amazing!

TL;DR: This is not a month to be on autopilot.

We are releasing what we no longer need from the past, working on ourselves now and aligning our future path with more ease.

The astrology of July is here to wake us up, get us moving and ground us so in the next several month we are able to shift into the path that we are meant to walk into with much more ease.

Let’s break it down.

First Half of the Month: Saturn and Neptune station retrograde in Aries. Aries (The Ram) is ambitious, highly driven in success. It prepares to return to Pisces (The Two Fish) who is highly creative, intuitive and deeply emotional. This (rare) motion backwards is going to encourage us to take some moments of pause and thinking before going forward with our path. Any foundations you're building in relationships, with self, at work, at home, within community must be built on authenticity.

At the same time, Uranus enters Gemini on July 7, so around these days before and after, we may be accelerating our thoughts, conversations, and nervous systems. Humanity will be experiencing this as a whole and it can bring some really good breakthroughs but if that pause isn't had, there can just as easily be burnout. During this time, you may experience having a plethora of new ideas or your energy may be so high you might feel overstimulated. Regardless, it's always a good idea to come back to your body at the end of the day and remind yourself that the planets are twerking in the sky and it's shaking things up but it's ok to have fun with it. Twerk with them!

Leo Energy in the Mix

The second half of the month belongs to Leo. Leo energy is all about creativity, courage, authenticity in self-expression, and unapologetically taking up space. With both Mercury retrograde and the New Moon in Leo, we are totally being encouraged to be very clear in our messaging. Look at yourself and see if you've minimized yourself or held back your expansive light out of fear of judgment, comparison, or rejection. Then make a mental pact with yourself to start shifting. July is the perfect month to activate this change because the energy will absolutely help you pave way for a more aligned self. One who is confident and unapologetic in your existence and being here on this human journey.

With Pluto in Aquarius opposing both the Sun and Moon, we may need to work through some power struggles or deep fears around being fully seen.

Real and raw healing, growth and expansion come when you show up as your most authentic self. Be ok with who you are first. Put in the work, then just like that LEO energy ... release the fears of being seen and known by the masses.

July 7 – Uranus moves into Gemini

Uranus moves into Gemini for the first time since 1941, kicking off a 7-year journey that revolutionizes how we think, learn, speak, and use technology. HELLO!!!! Uranus is the planet of swift change, innovation, social reform and technology. We will collectively experience huge shifts in communication, world-wide tech, education, and mental health. For you personally, this is where you will need to be releasing old mindsets. Get 'em outta here! They're outdated and won't work in the way the world is moving. Doing this will allow your third eye to activate and you'll be able to experience this life in new fabulous ways.

July 10 – Full Moon in Capricorn (4:36 PM EDT)

Full moon are all about fulfillment of what we started in the previous weeks. Capricorn (in it's aligned state) is a sign that focuses on business, work, reliability, is responsible and loyal. This emotionally charged Full Moon reveals where structure in your life is suffocating or too much for you. It's also magnifying where responsibility has replaced self-care. You can't keep running on fumes my dear. Self-care isn't a luxury. It's necessary! With a trine to Mars (the planet of action) in Virgo (the sign of organization, self-care and hard working), this Moon helps you take grounded action to restore the balance that you may very well need in your life. Take full advantage of this energy to make sure self-care is happening

July 13 – Saturn stations retrograde in Aries

Ok we are just about mid-month. CHECKPOINT! What's your long-term vision, plan, desires? Saturn teaches us hard lessons and is retrograde (moving backwards) in a fire sign. This is a great time to really reconsider your long-term vision, determine what you are really committed to building in this life, and figure out if those visions are truly aligned with your truth? Expect some slowdowns, revisions, arguments with your inner voice. But it's all necessary and should be perceived as protection from veering off your path.

July 18 – Mercury stations retrograde in Leo

Mercury is the planet of COMMUNICATION so this retrograde invite us to super-duper reflect on improving our creative voice, self-expression, and the stories we tell OURSELVES (about visibility and worthiness). Know the difference between self-talk rooted in heart speak versus self-talk rooted in ego. Check out the EMJAY Podcast Episode 5, for free to learn how to do this! Whenever we hear Mercury is in retrograde, we tend to roll our eyes. But don't allow that mentality. Let's use the energy to our advantage. This retrograde allows for a beautiful time to revisit a creative project or refine how you’re showing up for yourself and others.

July 22 – Sun enters Leo

You're so fire! Take this day for you. Leo season is about remembering your joy, your magic, and your presence. Stop hiding, start taking up intentional space and be seen darling! This is the perfect day to just do it. Post that video you've been hesitating on, connect with that old friend you've been thinking about, promote the hell out of your business, start that "live" on your socials that you've been so scared to do.

July 24 – New Moon in Leo (3:10 PM EDT)

New moons represent darkness, space for recharging and lighter activities, however this is LEO season after all. This new moon is quite the powerful time to reclaim yourself and your power. Pluto (represents transformation) is in opposition here so this New Moon calls you to break free from people-pleasing or hiding. Both of these hindrances are not allowing you to live your best life. Focus on action you can take to feel more courageous, creative and live with purpose. Maybe it's setting 10 minutes aside everyday for silence so you can hear your thoughts (even if they're not fun, it's always necessary to hear ourself). Or maybe you need to journal to get the silly's out and to feel more balanced. Whatever it is, put that into practice. Then set intentions that align you and put you in a more peaceful state.

July 30 – Venus enters Cancer

Venus is the planet of L-O-V-E, LOVE! And showing gratitude to Venus, we are ending the month on a much softer note. Venus in Cancer (the crab -- tough on the outside and soft on the inside, emotional all about emotional intimacy, connection, and home). Overall our relationships become more meaningful and deepen. At the end of the month we will begin to prioritize the need for emotional safety, nurturing relationships and mutual love, adoration and care.

In July, do not rush or stay stuck in the familiar. You're here to be expansive, empowered and strong in your whole being (mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually). Take time for intentional pauses. Release the life narratives that no longer serve, and continue to move forward at a pace that works for you. Remember, no one is on the same timeline as you. Your story is unique. Celebrate it.
