New Moon in Scorpio + Mercury Cazimi

New Moon in Scorpio + Mercury Cazimi

A Deep Reset, a Truth Reveal, and a Mental Rebirth...Woah baby!

On November 20, 2025, we step into one of the deepest energetic gateways of the year. A New Moon deep in Scorpio energy arrives only minutes after a powerful Mercury cazimi, creating a rare combination of emotional rebirth, mental clarity, and psychic insight. I've already discussed the November energy overall that this whole month involves rebirth but let's look deeper into these specific events.

This blend of energies is driving us into a place of stillness, darkness (in a good way) and making us pause so that we can see IN that dark and pull out the truths that we need to grow. So do not fear the darkness, it's truly one of the best places to expand. Scorpio doesn’t care about surface-level answers. information or ideas. Mercury cazimi doesn’t tolerate confusion. These two energies together are opening an energetic doorway into the parts of ourselves we don’t always slow down long enough to meet.

This is a day to listen, to be honest. It's a day to begin again from a place that feels real.

What Is a Mercury Cazimi?

A cazimi happens when a planet sits in the heart of the Sun. For Mercury, that means our communication planet is purified and illuminated by the solar rays. It’s a reboot. A truth-telling and mental clarity zap of energy.

During a Mercury cazimi:

  • Thoughts sharpen and become more clear

  • Insights (or what I like to call 'downloads') land fast

  • Messages tend to reveal themselves quicker

  • Conversations shift in the exact direct path they need to go

  • Creative ideas come in super strong

  • Your intuition becomes noticeably charged

There are two kinds of Mercury cazimis:

1. Retrograde Cazimi

Mercury sits between Earth and the Sun.
Themes feel personal, emotional, intimate, and very close to home.
You see the real information that lays deep beneath anything surface level.

2. Direct Cazimi

Mercury is on the far side of the Sun.
Themes feel bigger, broader, more collective.
You get the “big picture” download.

Degrees in a Birth Chart & Their Significance in Yours

Disclaimer!!! This information is as beginner friendly as it gets however it can still feel overwhelming. If you're not fully ready to dive into degrees but still want a basic understanding, just use this as a takeaway:

A simple way to start reading degrees is to think in three parts:

  • 0° to 9°: early part of the sign

  • 10° to 19°: middle or “developing” part

  • 20° to 29°: late or “culminating” part

Tone & Timing of Degrees:

  • Early degrees feel like starting something new in that sign’s energy

  • Middle degrees feel like you’re fully inside the experience of that sign, exploring its traits, developing its strengths, and working through its challenges.

  • Late degrees can feel like you have a mastery skill, wrapping up, or being pushed to integrate that sign’s lessons

If you want to learn more, please feel free to dive in!!!

If you have ever pulled up your birth chart and seen something like Venus 17° Leo or Moon 2° Pisces and wondered what the heck the numbers mean, this is for you.

Those tiny numbers next to each planet are called degrees, and they add a lot more detail to your chart than just the sign alone. Think of degrees as the exact address of a planet, not just the neighborhood or subdivision.

In this post, we will walk through what degrees are, how they work, and why they matter when you are learning astrology.

Example of a test chart: The Moon is at 21° in Libra

The Zodiac Wheel: 360 Degrees, 12 Signs

Astrology uses a circle called the zodiac wheel. That circle is divided into 360 degrees.

  • There are 12 zodiac signs.

  • Each sign takes up 30 degrees of that circle.

  • 12 signs x 30 degrees each = 360 degrees total.

So when you see “Sun at 10° Cancer”, you are looking at:

  • Cancer as the sign

  • 10° is the exact point inside Cancer where your Sun sits

Every sign runs from 0° to 29°.

Example:

  • 0° Cancer is the very start of Cancer

  • 15° Cancer is the middle

  • 29° Cancer is the very last degree of the sign

This is how astrologers pinpoint where every planet, angle, and point lives inside your chart.

Why Degrees Matter in Your Chart

Two people can both have the Sun in Leo and still express that Sun very differently. Degrees are one of the reasons why.

Early, middle, and late degrees

So Mars at 2° Scorpio might feel like you are just stepping into Scorpio-style courage, intensity, and depth, while Mars at 27° Scorpio might feel like you are getting called to fully own and refine those same themes.

Different Modes: Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable Energy

Each sign belongs to a mode: cardinal, fixed, or mutable. Even though degrees belong to the signs, it helps to remember what kind of energy that sign carries.

  • Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) start things and bring new cycles.

  • Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) stabilize, deepen, and hold.

  • Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) adapt, shift, and transition.

So if you have a planet at any degree of a:

Cardinal sign, it often shows where you initiate.
Fixed sign shows where you are steady or stubborn.
Mutable sign shows where you are flexible or changeable.

You do not have to memorize special “cardinal degrees” or “mutable degrees” to start. Just knowing the mode of the sign already tells you a lot about how that planet likes to operate.

Critical Degrees

Some degrees are considered more intense or sensitive. Astrologers often call these critical degrees.

There are different traditions, but for beginners, you can start with this simple idea:

  • 0° of any sign: fresh start, new cycle, strong emphasis on that sign’s themes

  • 29° of any sign: completion energy, urgency, integration of that sign’s lessons

So if you have:

  • Moon at 0° Gemini, it can feel like you are just stepping into Gemini-style emotional expression: curious, talkative, mentally active.

  • Moon at 29° Gemini, it can feel like you are being pushed to fully integrate what Gemini has taught you, especially around communication and nervous system regulation.

11/11 Portal 2025 : A Reset Led by the Heart Space for the Next 9 Years

Every year, November 11 carries a unique vibration. The repeating 11:11 sequence is often called a portal; a moment where energetic doors open, inviting us to align with higher guidance and intentional creation. But this year’s 11/11 is unlike any other. On November 11, 2025, at 11:41 AM EST, Jupiter stations retrograde at 25° Cancer, turning this already potent day into a heart-centered initiation.

Why This 11/11 Is Different

We’re closing out a “9” universal year (2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 9). In numerology, 9 marks completion, release, and integration. The energy of 2026 (a “1” year) starts fresh, so this 11/11 portal acts as a bridge between endings and beginnings. Think of it as the energetic hand-off from what was to what will be.

At the same time, *Jupiter’s retrograde in Cancer adds a deeper emotional layer. Jupiter represents growth, wisdom, and expansion; Cancer rules nurturing, roots, and emotional safety. Together, they invite us inward away from external seeking and toward inner fulfillment. This isn’t about chasing money, material items or popularity, but more about reconnecting with your own heart and remembering that abundance begins within.

*Note: Anytime a planet is retrograde (or moving backwards), we are encouraged to really go inward, face any shadows or contrast we are experiencing versus moving forward with new beginnings. Because this is a year of completion, it's a perfect time to distinguish what should be released before the end of it.

Jupiter in Cancer: Expansion Through Emotional Honesty

Since June, Jupiter has been moving through Cancer, teaching us to grow by feeling instead of forcing things in our life. We’ve been learning that stability doesn’t come from controlling circumstances but from developing emotional intelligence, learning how practice unattachment and relying on our own inner safety.

Now, as Jupiter slows down and begins his retrograde motion, those lessons are only becoming more prominent. We’re asked to revisit how we define meaning, purpose, and abundance, and whether our beliefs truly align with the life we’re building. Retrogrades are invitations to review, refine, and realign. This one is no different.

Questions to Ask yourself:

  • Have I been moving forward in life, in fear or trust?

  • Do my goals still align with what genuinely nourishes me and brings me peace?

  • What beliefs about success or safety need re-examining?

11/11 Energy: Choosing Your Frequency

This 11/11 consists of a spectrum of frequencies. You get to choose which wavelength to tune into. Being such a foodie, i like to think of this portal as this a la carte menu, where we can order the different kinds of snacks and yumminess that we want.

The variety of frequencies act where you can adjust the balance between heart and mind, intuition and logic, faith and flow. Look at all these flavors!

It’s a day to co-create with the Universe consciously and intentionally. The invitation is simple: plant seeds for the next nine years with clarity, not pressure. You don’t need to “do shadow work” or dig through the past today so much even though we are in a retrograde. Just understand there is inward ways of thinking that will actually help propel you forward, post retrograde.

Keep it light. Journal, visualize, dream. You’re designing your next cycle from a place of self-trust.

Numerology & Angel Number 11

The number 11 is considered a master number which is linked to intuition, illumination, and spiritual awakening. Seeing 11:11 is a mirror moment from the Universe reminding you that your soul and higher self are in sync. It’s the nudge to follow your inner calling, even if it means stepping beyond your comfort zone.

When the 11 energy doubles (as on 11/11), it amplifies your ability to channel light, inspiration, and purpose. This is your reminder that alignment attracts more than effort ever could.

Jupiter’s Support System: Saturn and Neptune

Jupiter stations retrograde while forming some really nice *trines with Saturn and Neptune, both in Pisces. Saturn brings structure and timing; Neptune offers faith and vision. Together, they help us integrate spiritual growth with practical grounding in our journey. This energy is very welcomed and many of us will feel it strongly.

These alignments teach us that the seeds you nurture now will bloom exactly when they’re meant to.

*Note: A trine is when two planets sit at 120 degrees apart and work together to bring the very best energy and ease.

11/11 Reflection & Manifestation Prompts

Grab your journal or open your favorite Notion space and explore these:

  1. What does emotional abundance mean to me right now?

  2. What old patterns or beliefs am I ready to complete as this 9-year cycle ends?

  3. How can I create inner security that isn’t dependent on outside validation?

  4. What do I want to feel, create, and experience over the next nine years?

  5. What would life look like if I trusted my heart and higher self fully?

This 11/11 Portal is all about sincerity. Growth doesn’t always mean having more of something, sometimes it means learning to go deeper into self-discovery. Honor what your heart is trying to tell you and allow yourself to expand from within. Sometimes it's scary but it's the type of scary that affords you the ability to level up in your soul contract and for humanity.

If you want a structured way to reflect and track your spiritual and astrological growth, my Astrology Notion Template is designed for exactly that perfect for journaling, transits, and manifestation cycles like this one.

Or, if you’re curious where Jupiter’s retrograde lands in your chart, you can get a free birth chart snapshot right on my blog and instantly see what part of your life is being illuminated.

Nowwwww it’s time to align, release, and open to the next nine-year chapter!!!

The Taurus Super Full Moon 2025

On November 5, 2025, we meet the brightest and closest Full Moon of the year, the Super Full Moon in Taurus. This one’s big, both in the sky and in our heart space. It’s an energetic and cosmic reminder that sometimes growth doesn’t come from doing more but it actually comes from slowing down, having intentional stillness when everything is moving so fast, breathing a little deeper, and learning to trust your own internal needs and directional guidance system.

We’re right in the middle of Scorpio season, which is a time that pulls us into the deepest truths and emotional honesty that we can experience with ourselves. Taurus and Scorpio form one of the most transformative axes (two planets opposing each other) in astrology: Taurus wants peace and comfort, whereas Scorpio wants rebirth and actual transformation. Together they create this sort of push-pull between holding on and letting go. We can also feel this push-pull between staying safe and comfy and daring to make an actual change.

If life has felt like a rollercoaster lately, this Moon says, “Step off for a second. Get yourself grounded asap."

The Reality of the Full Moon

Full Moons are culmination points. They reveal what’s ready to be completed, released, or celebrated. This one shines light (literally it's the brightest moon all year) on self-worth, stability, money, comfort, and emotional security all the practical foundations that help us feel safe enough to grow.

Taurus energy teaches us that control and peace aren’t the same thing. You don’t really find calm by managing every detail but you CAN and WILL find it by trusting yourself to adapt as needed. This is where Scorpio’s influence comes in and provides us with the courage to shed old layers so that real stability and strong foundations can take root.

So think of this Moon as a mirror for you. Ask yourself: What’s steady, going well and worth hanging on to? What’s heavy or outdated and needs to go?

The Energy: Navigating the Emotional Waves

This Full Moon doesn’t come with “easy breezy” energy. Well...let me rephrase that. The Full Moon energy in Taurus in its own is so lovely. But we also have some other energy in the mix that is quite powerful, beautiful and a little intense. Let’s unpack it all...

Lilith opposite the Moon

Lilith energy is like: “I absolutely will NOT pretend everything is fine if it's not okay!”. This aspect stirs up the part of you that refuses to be tamed or silenced. It gives you your voice and the good rebellion you might need. You might feel rebellious, emotional, or extra sensitive around boundaries you have set or need to set. If something has been simmering under the surface, especially around body image, making your own decisions, or having your voice heard... that could surface now. This is your chance to stand firm in what’s true for you.

Venus square Pluto and Jupiter

Venus (the planet that rules Taurus and is the planet of love) is in Libra (the scales and energy of balance) and caught between two big forces: Pluto (transformation) and Jupiter (expansion). It’s like being stretched between “I want to grow. I'm ready to grow.” and “...but I want to stay comfortable and cozy in my safe space.” These squares can bring up tension in love, money, or self-worth. You might feel tempted to overindulge, over-give, or try to fix things with comfort spending or emotional effort. Don’t panic ok, these moments are meant to show you what’s real, authentic and what fits in your life vs what doesn't. Use them to get honest about what balance looks like for you.

Venus opposite Chiron

Chiron (the wounded healer) brings old wounds to the surface so they can finally be healed. This might feel like ripping the band-aid off. If feelings of rejection, inadequacy, or comparison pop up, see them as reminders. Remember that everything and everyone is a mirror for what we believe ourselves to be. This is your opportunity to practice self-compassion and reframe what “being enough” really means. Because honey...YOU ARE ENOUGH.

Overall this Full Moon could feel raw, emotional, or strangely exhausting. But it’s also clarifying. These alignments are helping you reset your relationship with comfort, money, and love and teaching you that grounding yourself means being steady and grounded enough to feel all of the things you need to, safely. Have the understanding that discomfort doesn't necessarily mean life is spiraling. Sometimes and a lot of times it actually means you are on the verge of major growth and transformation. Remember that discomfort is temporary. Acknowledge it and carry on.

(⭐Astrology Note for Newbies: When planets oppose or square each other in astrology, this means we may experience tension or division in different areas of life. It depends on which planets are involved and what houses they occupy in your chart and that’s exactly what your chart snapshot can show you.)

Tips on How to Work With the Energy

  1. Prioritize calm. You don’t have to have every answer today or in the moment. Do what regulates your nervous system like stretching, intentional breathing, walking outside, journaling, listening to music that calms you down, etc.

  2. Revisit your relationship with “enough.” Money, love, productivity, your self-worth ...what feels like enough right now? You might realize your peace depends on smaller, simpler things too. Like sitting in a corner reading a book while sipping a nice cup of cinnamon tea. Or, meeting up with a friend and having a low-key evening out.

  3. Let go without drama. Not every ending has to be explosive. Scorpio energy can bring that into the mix. But remember that peace comes quietly and comes after you’ve decided to stop forcing all the things that aren't working for you. Like, just let it go and be ok with it and move on  I promise I send you this message with only intention as of love. Because you are deserving of peace

  4. Simplify your schedule and space. The more clutter you clear, the easier it is to hear yourself think, feel and experience. Clean off your desk. Clean out your car. Dust your space and wash your bed sheets. Tidy and clean

Journal Prompts to Help You During this Lunar Phase

Answering these requires total honesty with yourself.
  • What do I need to feel safe in this new season of life?

  • What am I clinging to because I may fear of change?

  • What does “enough” look like for me right now-- emotionally, financially, spiritually?

This Supermoon is not here to shake you up or make you worry. It’s actually here to bring stability for you, but we can't have stability without releasing what is no longer for us.

The brightest Moon of 2025 wants you to know that transformation doesn’t have to be chaotic, scary or too much to handle. You can release and have your glow up in the best ways through authentic and very honest talk and action with yourself.

Taurus teaches us to plant our feet and trust the ground, even while Scorpio clears what no longer serves. Together, they remind us: real evolution happens when we stay rooted and open.

When the Veil Thins: Día de los Muertos Through an Astrological Lens

Every year as October wraps up, we hit one of the most powerful points in the zodiac .... Scorpio season. It’s a time when everything feels a little deeper, more emotional, and we can sense the intuition becoming greater as the veil thins. Right in the middle of this season falls Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday (November 1st - 2nd) that celebrates and honors loved ones who have crossed over.

The amazing part? The theme of this celebration line up almost perfectly with Scorpio energy. Let’s talk about why.

What Día de los Muertos Is Really About

Día de los Muertos is a beautiful celebration of life. Families create ofrendas, or altars, decorated with marigolds, candles, food, drinks, and photos of their ancestors. It’s believed that during this time, the spirits return to visit, and their loved ones welcome them with all the things they enjoyed in life.

The whole purpose of this holiday is to remember to keep connection alive between the living and the departed. It’s colorful, vibrant, and full of love.

Now, when you look at this through an astrological lens, you start to see some major parallels.

Scorpio Season: Transformation, Depth, and the Cycle of Life

Scorpio season runs roughly from October 23 to November 21, which means Día de los Muertos lands right in the heart of it. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto (and traditionally Mars). These are planets connected to change, passion, and rebirth.

Scorpio energy pushes us to face what’s hidden. Any emotions we usually avoid or the parts of life that make us uncomfortable. That’s why this season is known for deep reflection, shadow work, and sometimes we apply total transformation.

When you think about it, that’s exactly what Día de los Muertos is doing too. It’s an invitation for us to face what we know as death and view it not as something dark, but as part of a natural cycle. If you've read about my beliefs then you already know that I am deeply connected to my loved ones that are exploring and living on the other side of the veil. This is a time where we are acknowledging endings while celebrating what continues to live on through memory, love, and spirit.

The Veil Gets Thinner

Astrologically and energetically, this time of year is when the veil between worlds feels extremely thin. For me I feel like I have one foot on Earth and one foot in the ether for about 4-5 days. I always get a bit sad when it's over because this is just the easiest time for me to connect personally. But I thoroughly enjoy the time I get to spend with my loved ones while they are so obviously present. This is a time where the Sun sits halfway between the fall equinox and winter solstice and serves as a turning point that’s been recognized for thousands of years.

I'll also give a shout out to the Gaelic celebration of Samhain (pronounced SAH-WIN) where the end of the harvest season is marked and the preparation for the darker part of the year comes. The celebration begins on October 31st where communication with ancestors is most prominent. You see, the thinning of the veil is recognized and sacred for many cultures.

Many people feel more intuitive, emotional, or spiritually sensitive during this time, and it’s no coincidence either. When we zoom out and take a look at the collective energy of Scorpio, it opens the door to the unseen. Día de los Muertos takes that same idea and turns it into something tangible — food, candles, flowers, laughter, family, and remembrance.

Both are ways of saying, “We’re still connected, even across worlds.”

Not to get all dark on you, well actually yeah let's get dark for a minute (we are preparing for Winter after all), but if you sat in a peaceful space in your home at night with some white (representative of peace and purity) lit candles (LED or real, whatever feels better), took in some slow deep breaths with hand over heart and just listened, you will hear the footsteps of those who have come before you and those who are protecting and guiding you. Between October 31st - November 2nd.

How to Work With This Energy

Here are a few simple, beginner-friendly ways to use this Scorpio + Día de los Muertos energy in your own life even if you don’t personally celebrate the holiday:

  1. Reflect on transformation. Ask yourself what’s been ending or shifting in your life lately. What’s trying to be reborn? Jot it down as thoughts come to mind.

  2. Honor your roots. Think about who came before you like family, mentors, ancestors, EVEN PETS and what qualities or lessons they passed down?

  3. Declutter your emotional space. Scorpio season loves a good purge. Journal, clean, or release something that’s been weighing on you.

  4. Light a candle for remembrance. You don’t have to build a full altar. Even one candle with the intention to honor those who came before you can be SO powerful.

  5. Embrace your intuition. Scorpio energy helps you tune into your gut. Trust your instincts, especially around endings and new beginnings.
